Released back in May 2010, Metropia presents us a grim vision of a future reality where european cities are connected by an underground metro system and call center jobs are not what you’re used to, trust me.
I don’t want to give anything away about the plot because I think Metropia totally deserves your attention, especially if you are even remotely interested in sci-fi, alternative worlds, conspiracies, and visions from the future. Or if you love/hate Hello Kitty.
What I will say is that it is an european production co-produced by Lars Von Trier’s Zentropa, it has been made with a low 3 million euros budget, it’s a pleasure to watch and its plot is not obvious.

Hello everyone
Just a quick update with some download links for music i’m listening to… A few days ago I’ve seen a rather good sci-fi movie, it’s called moon. Here you go. Moon (go to imdb) - Get Torrent
Yesterday I saw Nirvana, an italian/french movie from 1997 (a good two years prior to the Matrix and Existenz, and one year before Dark City). Nirvana is an existential sci-fi flick; the characters constantly wonder about the nature of existence and wheather or not the game can be stopped.
In Nirvana, videogame and reality are not really that different, and they even get mixed up; reality increasingly looks like a game, and viceversa.
The movie is good fun, it is probably not a masterpiece (this is not Existenz, although some people say Existenz is boooooring) but still has some interesting philosophical details and is very psychedelic (especially the Bombay City setting).
What is interesting to me is that a bunch of similar movies (as I said, Nirvana, Existenz, Dark City, Matrix, 13th Floor, and possibly more) all came out around the same time. It simply makes me wonder…

A beautiful documentary about crop circles has been released by Nuoviso.
And the best thing is, you can watch it for free, zero, nada! Then if you want you can buy the dvd version with tons of additional material… here it is anyway!
parla di Andreotti, c’e’ Servillo, ed il film é scritto e diretto da Paolo Sorrentino…me lo sono appena visto. Che dire, merita di brutto, Sorrentino ancora una volta si conferma grande regista (ha fatto anche “le conseguenze dell’amore” e il meraviglioso “L’amico di famiglia”).
Il film dipinge Andreotti in modo abbastanza impietoso (giustamente) anche se in alcuni punti permette al personaggio se non di difendersi, di giustificarsi. Non é un film rivelatore, nel senso che non rivela veritá che non si sapevano, ma piuttosto mette assieme teorie e fatti per dipingere un quadro del personaggio, della sua storia, della sua psicologia.
Memorabile il monologo del mitico Toni Servillo/Andreotti in cui cerca di spiegare perché ha dovuto fare ció´ che ha fatto. Per qanto io possa essere comprensivo, é comunque scandaloso che gente cosí non vada mai dietro le sbarre… capisco peró che se é vero (e probabilmente lo é) che Andreotti ha degli archivi con dentron informazioni su TUTTI quelli che contano e pure quelli che non contano, allora quella diventa la sua assicurazione sulla vita. Messo in carcere, le sue rivelazioni tirerebbero giú tutto l’establishment, e questo nessuno lo vuole, quindi eccolo li, sempre libero (ma colpevole, anche se in prescrizione, per collusione con la mafia).
